How to Stop Bird Flu

Bird flu is still spreading throughout

he world, and here are some ideas/facts about possibly stopping the outbreak:

Q: Is there a vaccine available for the bird flu?

A: Currently, there is no vaccine for the bird flu.

Q: What are the two antiviral drugs that may be effective against bird flu?

A: One drug, which is more well-known, is Tamiflu, a prescription drug made by Roche which is a pill usually used against the common flu. Another drug, Relenza, a drug made by GlaxoSmithKline, is inhaled and is also usually used against the common flu.

Q: What kills the bird flu?

A: Here are some things that kill the bird flu virus:

  1. Bleach

  2. UV Rays

  3. Antiviral Agents

  4. Heat

  5. Strong Alcohol (95%)

  6. Hydrogen Peroxide

Q: What else can be effective against the bird flu?

A: Many antivirals may be effective against the bird flu. Antivirals such as garlic, green tea, vitamin c, and resveratrol, may help but not cure patients infected with the bird flu. Green tea is probably the most effective of the antivirals, and it might be a good alternative to Tamiflu and Relenza. Here is a list of foods that may be effective against the bird flu:

  • Garlic (fresh and eaten within one hour of crushing)

  • Green Tea (Very effective antivira, decreases cytokines, best alternative to Tamiflu and Relenzal)

  • Kimchi (Cured the Avian Flu in chickens when feed to them)

  • Coconut Oil - (Contains Lauric Acid, which kills lipid coated virus, which bird flu is)

  • Vitamin C (Good antiviral, effective against the common flu)

  • St. John's Wort (Effective antiviral, decreases cytokines)

  • Vitamin E  (Decreases production of cytokines)

  • Resveratrol (Antiviral, may inhibit bird flu, may slow virus reproduction)

  • Skullcap Herb - (Antiviral, may inhibit bird flu)

  • Cat's Claw Herb (Decreases production of cytokines)
